Low lateralization may reduce the diagnostic accuracy of bilateral inferior petrosal sinus sampling (BIPSS) for distinguishing Cushing’s disease from ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone secretory syndrome, suggests a study published in the Journal of the Endocrine Society in March 2024.
