Low lateralization may reduce the diagnostic accuracy of bilateral inferior petrosal sinus sampling for distinguishing Cushing’s disease from ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) secretory syndrome, suggests a study published in the Journal of the Endocrine Society in March 2024.

Children born to women with epilepsy who take topiramate during the second half of their pregnancy do not have a substantially increased risk of autism spectrum disorder, suggests research published in The New England Journal of Medicine.
